Baxter Village is once again hosting their very popular July 4th Parade. The parade will take place with 150+ units, featuring bands, floats, Shriner's performance units, clowns, classic cars, and more!! 

Main Street will be closed down to be filled with vendors selling food and goods. The Independence Day Ceremony will kick off at 8:later in the evening, followed by cannons being fired off and fireworks!

There isn't a specific celebration but many places to gather with family and friends to watch the fireworks such as the Buster Boyd Bridge Boat Landing, Papa Doc's outside deck, Rey Azteca deck at Lake Wylie plaza, Lake Wylie Italian & Pizza patio at Lake Wylie Plaza, Bagel Boat and Long Cove Resort. All great options for viewing the fireworks.

Indian Trail

Monday, July 4th

Parade at 11:30 AM

Dress in your American pride attire and come out to see the parade full of fun floats, walking groups, horses, fire trucks and more! The parade will start at Post Office Drive, proceed down Indian Trail Road South and end at Old Monroe Road. Bring your chairs and blankets to set up along the parade route.

City of York 

Monday, July 4th

4th of July Fireworks Show 7 PM - 10 PM

Free Show & Entry

Located at York Middle School, 1010 Devinney Road in York, South Carolina. The event will include food trucks, free games, and live music. The celebration will end with a fireworks show at 9:30 PM.

Carowinds 

Experience nighttime fireworks spectacular at Carowinds in recognition of Independence Day. The fireworks show will take place on Saturday, July 2, Sunday, July 3, and Monday, July 4. The impressive display of patriotic fanfare will be accompanied by an all-American soundtrack, creating fireworks show guests will not want to miss.

The firework display will be visible throughout the park, but the best viewing locations can be found in the Carolina Boardwalk, County Fair, and Celebration Plaza areas. Guests will be mesmerized by vivid bursts of color lighting up the night sky in the Carowinds skyline.

The Thrill Zone area and its surrounding rides will close early on these event dates so the area can be safely prepared for the firework display.

We start by looking at the NEW LISTINGS that came on the market in MAY and we begin with 2020, where we see there were 383 NEW LISTINGS that came on the market. In MAY of 2021, we find we increased by +35.8 percent with 520 NEW LISTINGS. This year in MAY of 2022, we decreased slightly by -1.5 percent with 512 NEW LISTINGS. Still over what we were in 2020.

MAY 2022 Homes for Sale:

We again, start by looking at MAY of 2020, where we see there were 674 HOMES FOR SALE. In MAY of 2021, we find a decrease of -51.6 percent with 326 HOMES FOR SALE. This year in MAY of 2022, we decreased again by -3.1 percent with only 316 HOMES FOR SALE.

MAY 2022 Pending Sales:

Let's view MAY of 2020, where we see there were 474 PENDING SALES. In MAY of 2021, we decreased by -0.2 percent with 473 PENDING SALES. This year in MAY, we decreased by -6.6 percent with 442 PENDING SALES.

MAY 2022 Median Days on Market:

Let's view MAY of 2020, where we see there were 7 MEDIAN DAYS ON MARKET. In MAY of 2021, we decreased from the previous year by -57.1 percent with 3 Median Days on the Market. This year in MAY, we increased by +33.3 percent with 4 Median Days on the Market. 

MAY 2022 Months Supply of Homes for Sale:

In MAY of 2020, the MONTHS SUPPLY OF HOMES FOR SALE was 1.7 months. In MAY of 2021, we decreased by -52.9 percent with a 0.8 MONTHS SUPPLY OF HOMES FOR SALE. This year in MAY, we held even with the previous year at still 0.8 MONTHS SUPPLY OF HOMES FOR SALE.

Ebenezer Park – A 26-acre park located north of Rock Hill on the shores of Lake Wylie’s 13,443 acre lake that borders both North and South Carolina.

Ebenezer Park offers a wide variety of day use recreational opportunities; as well as, overnight stays in one of our 67 campsites.

Nanny’s Mountain Historical Park -

York County's Nanny's Mountain is a historical park. Nanny's Mountain dates back to the American Revolutionary War. This is where South Carolina got the iron to manufacture its Revolutionary War weaponry. In fact, from the parking area on Liberty Hill Road West at SC 49, hikers will pass the mines in the first quarter-mile of the hike.  

Nanny's Mountain Historical Park provides a 1.8 mile trail up to a small mountain formation that is known as a monadnock, a single rock outcropping surrounded by gently sloping or even flat land.  This trail is good for all skill levels. The trail splits with one trail taking hikers to the education center at the top of Nanny's Mountain, and the other to a picnic area and scenic overlook displaying Lake Wylie, Kings Mountain, and Charlotte, NC.

Field Day Park - Field Day Park at Lake Wylie is a 50-acre athletic complex located in the Paddlers Cove subdivision. The park’s amenities provide numerous opportunities for individuals and families, as well as team sports.

Catawba Bend Preserve

York County Council made a tremendous investment in Dec. 2018, by purchasing a 1,900 acre parcel that borders the Catawba River for almost five miles. This land, first dubbed RiverBend Park, features primary forests, seasonal wetlands, ponds, enormous pines, and expansive meadows. It's now officially known as Catawba Bend Preserve.  Currently, this park is not open to the public. We had to include this future opportunity!

Springs Farm also has a farm market, produce, peaches, strawberries, etc. So many local options to choose from, and pick your own opportunities as well! They are located at 1010 Springfield Parkway, Fort Mill, SC.

Fort Mill Farmers Market is another beautiful opportunity to choose from local produce, farm/agricultural products, and handmade/handcrafted items. The market is located at Veterans Park, 106 N. White Street, Fort Mill, SC. The market opens each May and runs from May 14^th to October 29^th every Saturday from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm.

Anne Springs Close Greenway has an Adventure Road that is a great way to introduce you to mountain biking. With 438 google reviews, it rates 4.7 stars. The red and green trails are for mountain biking and hiking.

Another local favorite is the Baxter Village Trail. This trail is 3.3 miles one way and is for both hiking and biking. It has a natural surface, boardwalk, sidewalk, and pavement.

Cherry Place Farm located at 1922 Oakdale Road in Rock Hill, SC will have the following vendors –

Will be open on both Saturday and Sunday. 

They are a small family-run agritourism operation. During the spring and summer season they have you-pick strawberry and flower patches and they sell summertime produce. There will be kid-friendly activities on-site and ready to eat food. Restroom facility on-site. Handicap accessible restroom facility on-site. 

Fort Mill Farmers Market which is located at 106 N. White Street in Fort Mill will be open on Saturday from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm. 

Visitors can find fresh and local produce, meats, flowers and other plants, as well as artisan vendors.

Kingdom Gardens located at 3650 Indian Hook Road in Rock Hill will be open only on Saturday from 10 am to 4 pm.

Rock Hill Educational Community Garden located at 349 Columbia Ave in Rock Hill will be only open on Sunday from 1 to 5 pm.

Gardeners will be on-site providing visitors tours answering questions sharing information about the various plants and gardening techniques used.   There will be children's activities available teaching about gardening and growing food.  Throughout the day, Winthrop's Department of Human Nutrition will demonstrate the preparation of seasonal produce grown in the garden.

Spring Farms located at 1010 Springfield Parkway in Fort Mill will be open on both Saturday and Sunday. 

We grow peaches, strawberries, garden produce, and the world's hottest pepper! Our Springs Farm Market sells our homegrown produce along with local items and homemade ice cream and slushies. Ready to eat food for purchase on-site (lunch, snacks, etc.), Beverages for purchase on-site, Restroom facility on-site, Handicap accessible restroom facility on-site.

Tega Hills Farm is located at 1780 Zoar Road in Fort Mill and will be open only on Saturday from 10 am to 4 pm.

Tega Hills Farm uses hydroponic growing methods in greenhouses to grow lettuce, tender greens, edible flowers, microgreens, herbs year-round. They also grow season crops of tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, squash, squash blooms, and whatever they think is cool and fun that year. Learn about trellising vine crops, scouting for insects and integrated pest management, fixing pumps and fans, selling produce to restaurants, and planning for consistent weekly harvests. Purchase fresh produce from our farm stand!

In MARCH of 2021, we find we decreased by -9.7 percent with 658 NEW LISTINGS. This year in MARCH of 2022, we decreased again by -22.2 percent with 512 NEW LISTINGS.

We again, start by looking at MARCH of 2020, where we see there were 1,425 HOMES FOR SALE. In MARCH of 2021, we find a decrease of -56.1 percent with 625 HOMES FOR SALE. This year in MARCH of 2022, we decreased again by -41.3 percent with only 367 HOMES FOR SALE.
