Scarowinds Everyone in the family, from tots to tweens to adults, will have a spooktacular time filled with fun autumn activities, specialty food and craft beers, games and game shows, music entertainment, traditional trick-or-treating, and so much more. 

 

 The Great Pumpkin Fest

This fall, ghosts and ghouls of all ages are invited to don their favorite costumes and celebrate during Carowinds’ The Great Pumpkin Fest. Taking place on select days from September 16 through October 29, this special event, with just a speck of spooky, is available during park operating hours. The Great Pumpkin Fest offers one-of-a-kind Halloween family-friendly and event-exclusive entertainment throughout the park. Around every hay bale, catch toe-tapping entertainment, and grab a comfy seat to kick back and take it all in. Located in Camp Snoopy, guests can find family-friendly activities, games, play zones, a costume contest, dance parties, and more. Guests can celebrate the season alongside the PEANUTS Gang and discover sweet and savory menu items inspired by fall flavors and the Halloween season.

 

  Tricks and Treats Parade

In a twist that adds an air of eeriness to the arrival of autumn, Carowinds today introduced two captivating fall parades, injecting fresh dimensions into the seasonal lineup. The Tricks and Treats Parade and the Procession of Nightmares Parade are set to captivate and engage guests.

Tricks and Treats Parade

Carowinds' daytime celebration, The Great Pumpkin Fest, offers family-friendly excitement. Running from September 16 to October 29 on Saturdays and Sundays, this special event, with just a speck of spooky, is available during park operating hours from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The culmination of The Great Pumpkin Fest is marked by the roving Halloween party, the Tricks and Treats Parade.

The Tricks and Treats Parade, starting at 3:30 p.m., takes the magic of Halloween to the park’s midways. Adorned with iconic Halloween scenes, the mesmerizing floats wind through Carowinds, offering a visual delight. This daytime spectacle features beautifully decorated floats, cooky-spooky characters that guests of all ages can dance with along the route, and a fang-tastic dance party with iconic Halloween jams.

Procession of Nightmares

For scenes from the underworld, the Procession of Nightmares, kicks off at 7:30 p.m. This enthralling display promises a convoy of hideous, monstrous structures slithering through the park, joined by grotesque characters, mesmerizing effects, and bone-chilling music. Seven exquisite floats, meticulously crafted by Kern Studios in New Orleans, La., stand as the centerpiece of the parade, adding an air of mystique to the festivities.

This parade unfolds against the backdrop of SCarowinds, the Carolinas' premier Halloween event. Scheduled for select nights from September 15 to October 29, SCarowinds encompasses five haunted mazes, six scare zones, live performances, and other haunting experiences.

9th Annual Fort Mill Scarecrow Crawl!

Come take a stroll in Downtown Fort Mill to see all the amazing scarecrow entries created by individuals, schools, businesses, organizations, churches, and more. Registration to enter a Scarecrow is free and will be held Aug. 21 through Sept. 8.

Fall is right around the corner, and everyone at Bush-N-Vine Farm is READY! Bring on the pumpkins, apple cider, and cooler weather! They’ll have a variety of activities for you and your family/friends to participate in—pick-your-own pumpkins, a 1-mile hiking trail, and more!  You won’t want to miss out, trust us!

In the Wilson family since 1882, this farm features a 15-acre u-pick pumpkin patch and offers 40-minute wagon rides on weekends in October.

They've been very busy preparing for the fall season. This year's strawberry field is full of healthy pumpkin plants. And the corn maze is back (theme to be announced soon). They plan to open this fall starting September 22nd.

Get ready for an evening filled with food, fun, and all things Fall with the upcoming Fort Mill Fall Festival on Saturday, Oct. 21, 2023!

The event will be held at the Fort Mill Amphitheater & Walter Elisha Park, 345 N. White Street, from 3 to 7 p.m. The evening begins with live music at the Fort Mill Amphitheater. Costume Contests for ages birth to adult will be held at 4 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. in front of the Amphitheater stage.

Boo's & Boats - Trunk or Treat

Trunk-or-Treat, Lake Wylie style... on the docks! "Boo's and Boats" is a trunk-or-treat style event on the docks of Papa Doc's Shore Club. Bring your costumed kiddos for a spooktacular time!

If you would like to participate in the Trunk or Treat by decorating your boat and passing out candy, please send an email to HeatherR@papadocslkw.com to reserve your boat slip. The Spooky Speakeasy will also be open at this time, so grab a specialty Halloween cocktail or pumpkin beer and take the kids out for a unique trick-or-treating experience!
