Rock Hill is becoming quite the lively community. I thought we'd share some new businesses who are choosing Rock Hill. 

Rock Hill is a very charming area that draws in a lot of interest from people all around the area. One of the attractions is the Mural Mile and recently there was a new mural added which speaks to a young girl having the power to dream big and accomplish anything. This was created by Darion Fleming, a local artist. 

The Carolina Panthers plan to open a state-of-the-art headquarters in Rock Hill in 2023. The cost expectation of this new facility is expected to be around 1 billion dollars! The project is being tagged as "The Rock." The team is expected to hold their training camp there, but will remain in Uptown Charlotte for the home games. 

This development is fueling other businesses' interest in the area. Just recently Common Market announced they'd be opening in Rock Hill at 161 West Main Street this coming Summer. The Common Market is a convenience store with a deli and bar. Follow them on Instagram to receive their latest opening updates. 

 

Next, the Kre8 Gastropub's Rob Masone has secured a spot in historic Rock Hill. Rob opened his new restaurant called the Kounter which is located at 135 E. Main Street, Suite 101 in Rock Hill.

The most recent eatery, in particular, is a new restaurant called "Old Town Kitchen & Cocktails." It will be opening its doors in the former White Horse Space within the historic Lowenstein Building. The White Horse was a staple in the community for 44 years before closing in October 2020. So these are pretty big shoes to fill, but Old Town Kitchen seems ready for the challenge. 

You can expect a menu of everything spanning from sandwiches and salads to the revered "meat and two" plates. You'll also be able to choose from 16 taps of regional beers, wine and crafted cocktails. 

The expected opening timeframe is early Summer of 2021. How exciting!! 

 

Before we close this blog we will mention a couple of more recent business openings that you may want to check out.  Chic Boutique is one which opened January 29, 2021 and is located at 148 Main E. Street. They carry women's apparel, handmade shoes, jewelry and more. Grab your girlfriends and go shopping!

The Hickory Post is another recently opened store on Main Street which houses multiple artists and carries tons of items for your home.
