13. Fort Mill Cookie Crawl

Each family/group can “crawl” to local partner businesses to collect a scrumptious individually packaged Christmas cookie from each location for their Cookie Tin (please note: each group will receive ONE cookie per tin at each stop).

Live musical performance will start before the parade at 5:00 pm at City Market, local food vendors will be present, and of course amazing and fantastic floats provided local businesses, organizations and schools! Homes for Sale

The number of homes for sale in October 2024 reached 11,283 across the entire MLS, marking a significant 26.2% increase from last year. In York County, the count rose to 751, up by 40.4% year-over-year. This increased inventory provides more options for buyers, though competition remains steady for desirable properties.

Median Days on Market

Homes are staying on the market longer, with the median days on market for the entire MLS at 22 days in October 2024, an increase of 83.3% from last year. York County also saw a rise, with a median of 22 days on the market. This increase suggests a slight shift in buyer behavior, possibly giving buyers more time to consider their options.

Months Supply of Homes for Sale

The months of supply, which reflects how long it would take to sell all available homes, increased to 3.0 months for the MLS and 2.7 months for York County. This represents a 25% rise MLS-wide and a 42.1% jump in York County, indicating a slightly more balanced market compared to previous months.

New Listings

New listings dipped slightly across the MLS, totaling 4,649 in October, a 3.2% decrease from last year. However, York County saw an increase of 16.3%, with 372 new listings. This localized increase provides fresh options for York County buyers and keeps the market active.

Pending Sales

Pending sales rose to 3,874 for the MLS, a 13.8% increase from October 2023. York County saw a similar trend with pending sales reaching 297, up by 17.9%. This uptick suggests strong demand despite the rising inventory, highlighting continued buyer interest in the area.

The HSYC Christmas Store is back for 2024, offering a wide range of holiday décor, gifts, and festive items. Located at 232 Main Street, Fort Mill, the store is open:

Friday & Saturday: 10 a.m. – 7 p.m.

Sunday to Thursday: 12 p.m. – 4 p.m.

Proceeds from the Christmas Store help HSYC care for homeless animals and fund their adoption programs. It’s a perfect opportunity to spread holiday cheer while supporting a great cause!

This local trend mirrors a broader change across the entire MLS, which saw a 37.8% rise in homes for sale in 2024 following a previous decline. Pending Sales:

Pending sales in York County saw a notable recovery in September 2024, bouncing back from a 9.3% decline in 2023 to post a 9.9% increase this year. This mirrors a similar trend in the broader MLS, which also experienced a rebound, with pending sales increasing by 9.8% in 2024 after a 7.3% decline in 2023. These figures suggest that buyer activity has regained momentum, pointing to renewed confidence in the market as pending sales rise after a period of stagnation.

Median Days on Market:

The median days on market for single-family homes in York County surged in September 2024, rising to 16 days from just 9 days in 2023, marking a 77.8% increase. Similarly, the entire MLS saw a significant increase, with the median days on market climbing to 20 days, an 81.8% rise from the previous year. These increases suggest a slowing market, where homes are staying on the market longer before going under contract, reflecting potential shifts in buyer behavior and market conditions.

Months Supply Of Homes For Sale:

The months supply of homes for sale in York County rose significantly in September 2024, reaching 2.7 months, a 42.1% increase from the previous year. This upward trend reflects a similar pattern in the overall MLS, where the supply grew by 34.8% to 3.1 months. Located in the Glennon Center Parking lot from 5:30 pm until 7 pm, trunk-or-treating is a thrilling twist on traditional trick-or-treating, where your little goblins can revel in a night of spooky fun with a monster mashup of tunes from our DJ, a costume showdown, and of course, some trick-or-treating! The spooky fun is for everyone in the family! Prizes will be awarded for Best Adult, Best Child, Best group and more! The hair-raising event starts at 5:30 pm in the Glennon Center Parking Lot and wraps up at 7:30 pm!

Clover’s Annual Food Truck & Treat
